New investment projects (DAs) in 2023 increased compared to 2022. In 2023, the industry received 57 new projects (DAs) with a total investment capital of about 300 million USD. Projects with equity from China account for 49.1% of the number of projects and 35.5% of the investment capital. Other major sources of FDI projects include Singapore, Hong Kong (China), Seychelles and Japan.
There were 12 countries and territories investing in the industry during the year.
The average investment capital scale of each new FDI project in 2023 will reach about 5.26 million USD/project, an increase of 1.6 times compared to the scale of each project in 2022.
Wood processing is the industry group that receives many new FDI investment projects, followed by artificial boards (plywood, flooring), pellets, wood trade and wood industry support.
The localities receiving the most new projects include Binh Duong (18 projects), Binh Phuoc (15 projects), Long An and Bac Giang each receiving 3 projects.
Contribute capital to buy shares
In 2023, the number and value of capital contributions to purchase shares will increase by over 1.1 times compared to the whole year of 2022. There are 36 times of capital contributions to purchase shares, with contributed capital reaching 139.83 million USD, an increase of 9.1%. in quantity and 27.1% in capital value compared to 2022

Capital adjustment
The number of capital adjusted projects in 2023 will increase nearly 1.2 times in both quantity and capital compared to 2022.
In 2023, there will be 35 capital adjustments, with increased capital reaching 57.24 million USD, an increase of 16.7% in quantity and 7.8% in capital compared to 2022.
Export of FDI enterprises
In 2023, the number of FDI enterprises participating in export accounts for only 18.8% of the total number of export enterprises in the country, but the export turnover of this group will reach 6.24 billion USD, accounting for 47.4% of the total export turnover. industry's export.
The proportion of export turnover of Chinese FDI enterprises is the largest, accounting for 33.1% of the total export turnover of all FDI enterprises. Next are enterprises from Taiwan (China) (15.4%), British Virgin Islands (14.1%) and Singapore (7%).
The above data shows that in 2023, new investment projects, capital contributions, share purchases and capital adjustments of FDI enterprises in the wood industry have increased compared to 2022.
